About Ayima

Ayima was founded in 2007, by Mike Jacobson, Mike Nott, Tim Webb and Rob Kerry. Starting out as a boutique Search Marketing consultancy, the company has evolved to offer full-service digital marketing in SEO (Organic Search), PPC (Paid Search), Display, Social, Content Marketing, Web Design and Website Development. Ayima has also launched a number of SaaS (Software as a Service) products, aiding the productivity and communication of digital marketers around the world.

Headquartered in London, Ayima also has offices in Stockholm, New York, Vancouver, San Francisco and Raleigh, NC. The company employs over 130 marketing professionals and provides digital performance services to global brands including British Airways, Verizon, O2, Bwin and Worldpay, as well as local market leaders such as Dagens Nyheter and Dagens Industri, in Sweden.

Ayima develops its own data and software platforms in-house, and is ISO 27001 certified.

On 20 April 2017, Ayima announced its intention to list its shares on Aktietorget in Stockholm. The announcement in Swedish and English can be found here.

The Board

Mike Nott

With a background in IT and System Administration, Mike was an early convert to SEO, working for various Media agencies in London before heading the Search Function at PartyGaming PLC at the time of their IPO on the FTSE in 2005. The technical and strategic lessons learned from that venture fed directly to the foundation of Ayima in 2007 with his colleagues, Mike Jacobson and Tim Webb. Mike has spearheaded Ayima ever since then, never losing sight of the company’s goal to deliver top-level expertise via superior technology and exceptional talent. He is also a strong proponent of providing a flexible environment in which experts can thrive, a factor that has helped Ayima grow into a prosperous international operation and develop industry-leading solutions for the SEO community.

Mike Jacobson

Hailing originally from Canberra, Australia, Mike has an MBA from University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and worked as a Financial Analyst at various dot-com startups in Sydney and London prior to heading up the analysis function for the marketing team at PartyGaming PLC. Working closely with SEO colleagues Mike Nott and Tim Webb, they soon discovered a shared ethos for problem-solving. The seeds were soon sewn for the three to forge their own path and open an agency that mirrored their personal approach to work. Mike’s goal for Ayima was to become the expert’s expert, assisting the in-house teams at big yet under-performing brands and provide a fun and intellectually challenging environment for Ayima’s staff. The company’s reputation has been built on performance – delivering solid traffic and revenues for clients.

Tim Webb

A degree in Linguistics followed by a MSc in Software Engineering have given Tim a unique view of programming, with an exhaustive understanding of both user intent and how best to surface relevant information. This expertise naturally manifested itself as a career in SEO, working with Mike Nott at PartyGaming, and then launching digital agency Ayima. As CTO, Tim continues to experiment with the aim of taking the guesswork out of SEO, providing Ayima consultants with tools and data that demystify Google’s complex algorithms so they’re able to confidently advise clients on the best course of action.

Mark Segal

With experience across the whole spectrum of financial functions, Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003, whilst working for accounting firm Martin Greene Ravden. Mark has thrived in commercial negotiations, providing business intelligence and operational support as Finance Director for Cashcade (Foxy Bingo) and currently at Gaming Realms PLC. Company mergers and acquisitions have become a particular speciality for Mark, where his skills have made him an indispensable part of the Executive team.

Thomas Jansson

As the Executive Director of New Equity Venture International AB, Thomas has helped develop and implement a number of successful IPOs in his career for both NEVI and the companies in which it invests. He has many years of experience in the finance industry, management and the trade of second-hand goods, and holds an MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Armed with this expertise, Thomas steers NEVI toward its goal of providing listed and unlisted companies with the means of growing and launching their own ideas. He also brings this knowledge to Ayima Group AB, where he has been a Board Member and Chairman since January 2017. NEVI, which is listed on the Aktietorget as NEVI B, is the principal owner of Ayima Group AB through the wholly owned subsidiary B18 Invest AB.
