Richard Game - Director of Services

Richard hails from the world of business consultancy, he worked in IT system installations through the 90s before moving to the web, "I have always bridged the gap between technical and business teams". A trained economist and die-hard Pink Floyd-fan, Richard has worked as a consultant for Accenture and Metapraxis, as well as client-side for Elf Acquitaine and Alliance UniChem, finding time for an MBA on the way.

He moved into web technology management in the mid noughties where he ran Carrentals.co.uk, a travel start-up. "SEO was the key differentiating factor in the business success, the team was top-notch and I learned SEO from them." Having caught the SEO bug, Richard moved to O2 where he set-up and ran the natural search channel. This proved to be a pioneering corporate SEO engagement in the UK.

Richard designs the strategy of SEO programmes and implements search services. "Ayima have always had better technical knowledge and capability when compared to other agencies, and now the management of the consulting services brings all the company's expertise together into one product."

"Service, and SEO service, is still about people. We make sure we have best techs, with the best knowledge, to provide the best solutions." Richard believes in keeping SEO simple and not forgetting what really matters: "don't get distracted from two things: position in the search journey, and value, what it means to the business."

Richard is a keen fan of Pink Floyd especially The Dark Side Of The Moon, "vast talent in, beautiful quality out", as he puts it. And 40 years on "seeing David Gilmour on Roger Water's recent tour of The Wall just tickled me pink (guffaw)".
